Most of the time, haunted places are laughed at. People don’t believe that they really exist. The governments really don’t believe them, but there are a few places that the governments have deemed as haunted. This is usually due to the large number of unexplained happenings and mysterious events taking place at these places.
In London, the Tower of London is deemed haunted because it was once used almost a thousand years ago as a place for executions and tortures. The Banff Springs Hotel in Canada is considered to be haunted. The Babenhausen Barracks in Germany is considered haunted because you can hear the screams and shouts even if no one else is there. Footsteps are also seen even though no one is walking on the steps.
You've heard ghost stories or seen horror movies. You may have gotten a creepy feeling when entering a certain room or building. It's unlikely that you've ever encountered legally haunted places, so here are a few of them. The Ackley House in New York has been legally declared a haunted house because of a previous owner who failed to disclose the spiritual activity.
There are stories that portray darker forces there as well as nice ghosts who give small gifts and interact with residents every now and then. Bhangarh, India is another legally haunted area. It is say, there are ghosts and spirits that become active at night and it is prohibited by the government to be on the fort premises after sundown.
