Obsessive compulsive disorder or OCD can be treated naturally. Traditionally, treatment has taken a combination approach using “psychological support, in some cases medication use, helpful strategies to reduce anxiety, and ongoing social/family support.”
However, newer more natural treatments include CBT or Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness and meditation, healthy eating, sleeping, and exercising, along with traditional stress and anxiety reduction techniques. In addition, continued social support from family, friends and maybe even a professional therapist, plays an important part in helping someone manage their OCD. Once a person with OCD recognizes they need help and is willing to take suggestions for how to help themselves, their chances of leading a normal, happy life are quite good.
