Who made Sophia?

Sophia is a famous robot who was developed by Dr Richard Hanson in his laboratories, Hanson Robotics. But he created Sophia in collaboration with Google's parent company, Alphabet Inc who made her voice system. Could Sophia have been so personable without a voice? Hanson also collaborated with Singularity Net who manage her brain. Without 'thought' would Sophia impress us so much?

Sophia was made a citizen of Saudi Arabia in 2017, and millions watched her walk on utube. More amazing was her performance on Good Morning Britain where she put the odious Piers Morgan in his place and answered all questions in a charming and relevant manner.
