Do you know that there are more than 70% of kids right now who aspire to become YouTubers? There are some that are more popular than others. Some are able to get millions of subscribers and are also able to get endorsements. There are also some YouTubers who are able to destroy their careers in seconds. Logan Paul is one example. He became well-known because of the stunts that he used to do.
Last December 2017, he showed a video of a dead person hanging from a tree. People unsubscribed and even his apology got nowhere. PewDiePie is another person who has ended his career after it became evident that he is racist. Zoella was someone who created her beauty advent calendar but people started to send her hate messages for the expensive price.
There are many Youtubers who publicly destroyed their own careers. One of the first people to get popular on Youtube was named Paul Robinett. He was known for his eccentric character he would play and film for his coworkers. One of his most popular videos gained 14 million views almost overnight where Robinett ate a large amount of Mentos and a large amount of Diet Coke which ended up injuring him.
As time went on his Youtube channel became a little less fun and a little more incendiary and companies who once supported his channel began dropping it because he was acting in a way that was not in line with the way they wanted customers to see their brand. Another Youtuber named Bunny experienced the same sense of a quick rise and a quick fall. For her channel though, it was just overwhelming self doubt and not being able to come up with unique content that grabbed peoples attention.
