As an anime fan, you would deny that there are no two stories that are very similar. But similarities cannot be helped especially if the plot is very popular to the viewers. Two noticeable animes that are kind of alike are One Punch Man and My Hero Academia. Both have comedy styles with a hint of action.
These two animes are also rich in colors that you will enjoy watching, unlike other animes that are too dark or pinkish. The protagonists in both animes do not look like the typical heroes that people look up to. These may be the reason why many love these animes as they show that even a normal person can be a hero.
Many anime enthusiasts would argue that no two anime are exactly the same, however, there are many anime with essentially the same storyline and some obvious similarities. A good example of that is Hikaru No Go and Yu-Gi-Oh! Which are both animes with an ancient spirit who helps a boy become the master of a game.
Death Note and Future Diary both are undeniably very similar as they both have a magic journal which has the power to kill people. Sword Art Online and BTOOOM! Are also incredibly similar as both animes deal with the idea of getting sucked into a video game where you can die in real life as well.
