The prime reason why Bufett ended up surviving the stock market crash in the year 2008 was because he did not let himself get distracted by all the chaos that was surrounded in the market around that time. Instead of getting engulfed into the entire panic that people in the market were falling prey to, he used an analytical approach to to Goldmans business.
In the end he managed to conclude that the investment bank would not have to deal with big losses like its competitors had to face. In the end, we can conclude that Bufett remained rational and analytical at times of great chaos and this is the only trait that allowed him to survive through the entire stock market crash.
