The eight-thousanders are the only mountains on our Earth that are over 8,000 meters (26,247 feet) in elevation. There are fourteen of them and they are all located in the “Himalayan and Karakoram ranges in China, India, Nepal, and Pakistan”.
They are as follows: Shishapangma in China, Gasherbrum II in Pakistan/China, Broad Peak in Pakistan/China, Gasherbrum I in Pakistan/China, Annapurna I in Nepal, Nanga Parbat in Pakistan, Manaslu in Nepal, Dhaulagiri in Nepal, Cho Oyu in Nepal/China, Makalu in Nepal/China, Lhotse in Nepal/China, Kangchenjunga in Nepal/India, K2 in Pakistan/China, and last but not least Everest, the tallest at 8,850 meters, in Nepal/China.
