What are the delegates at the Constitutional Convention?

The Constitutional Convention took place in Philadelphia in order to establish a Constitution due to the problems with the Articles of Confederation. In 1787, many famous men during this time came together to write the Constitution. There were many names associated with this meeting including Federal Convention, Grand Convention at Philadelphia among a few other names.

The founding fathers as they were called wanted to create a document that would protect the rights of the people in the present and in the future. This document does just that. It is remarkable that we still follow a document that was written so long ago. The founding fathers did not want to make this document strict because they wanted to create amendments if needed.

The delegates of the constitutional convention are also commonly called the founding fathers or framers. This is because they are responsible for a number of important founding decisions. It was held in Philadelphia, from May 25 to September 17, 1787. 55 delegates instead of the 74 deputies who were selected attended it. Out of these only 39 actually signed the constitution.

These people wanted to create a document for the protection of the rights of people in the resent and the future. However, they all wanted to make t flexible as well, so as to leave room for amendments in the future too.
