The activities that people have done over the past centuries have made a lot of changes in the way that animals live. Some of them have been pushed to the brink of extinction. Do you know that Pandas used to be on the brink of being endangered? Due to the different Panda habitats that were formed, more and more Pandas are born and cared for.
Another animal is the Arabian Onyx. This was hunted in the wild, and it came to a point when they were already very few. A few of them were placed in zoos where they have also started to breed. California Condor is another animal that almost became extinct. There was even a time when there were only 27 that were left. This improved over time and with the intervention of concerned people.
There are certain species that were endangered and actions were taken to cause the species to grow. When this happens, the species that is being protected may return to the wild. Some of these species of animals include the southern white rhino, panda bear, chatham petrel and Yellowstone grizzly bear, to name a few. Certain countries have done a lot of things to help these animals and it has paid off.
For the southern white rhino, the government set rules against poaching and now this animal is surviving in Africa. The population of the panda bear grew to over 1500 and therefore live in both the wild and in captivity. The Chatham petrel which is a bird was endangered at one time and is now not because of the things that were done in New Zealand.
