There's a chance that plain garlic bread (garlic, butter, and cheese) doesn't have enough flavor for you—or maybe you're tired of traditional fare. Regardless, if you'd like to add a little life to an old favorite, consider making your own seasoning. You'll need 2 teaspoons each of fresh-cracked black pepper, basil, oregano, marjoram, kosher salt, and parsley. Of course, you'll also want to use powdered garlic and parmesan cheese for this, too.
Once you have your ingredients, mix them well and sprinkle over breadsticks or French bread. If you like a spicy kick, add some red pepper flakes to taste. If you're keeping your seasoning in a container, use dried herbs instead of fresh (they're also cheaper!)
