There are two many reasons for the war in Middle East and these reasons are why the peaceful region has been turned to a war zone.
Religious conflicts: religious conflict is one of the main cause of war in this region, with many extremists group like ISIS and Al Qaeda coming up the middle East is gradually become a dead zone because of the havoc these groups cause in the area.
The discovery of oil in the Middle East is another factor that has exacerbated the war in the region. Countries like China, Russia and the United States are attracted to the region because of the oil in the region. These countries find means to take advantage of the region by supporting one group or another. The big nations are trying to get into the affairs of the Middle East for their own benefits not necessarily because they want the war to stop.
Conflicts concerning religion are a way for those on opposing sides to butt heads. The presence of vast deposits of oil in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, and the other Gulf States means that the region is essential to everyone in the world. The discovery of oil and the establishment of the state did make things worse.
The big countries, such as US, Russia, and China tries to poke their noses in the affairs of these countries to ensure advantage for themselves. Also, the Middle East has rarely been ruled stably with democratic traditions. It has either been governed by monarchies or dictators.
