The Roman Script is also known as Latin script. It is the most widely used alphabetical writing system in the world. The Roman alphabetical script was derived from the Greek alphabet through Etruscan. The Roman script originated from Italy. It was first introduced as uppercase letters, over time, the lower case letter were introduced.

The lower case letters developed in the Middle Ages from New Roman Cursive writing. The script was greatly influenced by Phoenicians and Greek alphabets.

The Roman Script, also known as Latin script, is noted as being the most used script in the entire world. It is the standard script for the English alphabet and is always refered to simply as the alphabet. Latin script is believed to have originated in Italy and started coming into existence around the year of 700 BC. It is believed that Roman script is very closely related to and influenced by the Phoneician alphabet and the Greek alphabet.

History shows that at first Roman script was done in all capital letters. It was then that lower case and upper case letters were distinguished in the group. Historians say that Roman script is most closely inspired by the Greek. The two ethnic groups have together contributed to the formation of some of the greatest civilizations to ever walk the Earth. The alphabet can certainly be made responsible for some of the greatest things to ever take place in the world of history. This means that Roman script has influenced more things and people than any other instrument that has ever existed.
