Why do DOTA and LOL fans always keep fighting?

I think this is because of the hype linked with LoL being simpler than Dota.

Personally, I believe LoL is simpler than Dota, but not by a lot. I will try not to get into the eternal question of which is the better game, but stick to just the complications involved in both.

LoL was of course, based on DotA, but if anyone has played DotA, he or she will remember it as a fairly complicated game, even more than Dota 2. It had a very steep learning curve. There was so much to know and learn all the time that it wasn't as much fun as any game should be. This would often, and I say this from experience, demoralize people from taking up Dota, or from continuing to play for people who had just started.
