Actually, if we compare the data from August 26th and 27th, when LOL Summer Split Semifinals/Finals around the world took place, League of Legends was streamed almost half of time, but had one million more of hours watched and 20,000 more average viewers, even with the Squad Event in PUBG Invitational at Gamescom.
It has to be noted that PUBG being the number one without a stablished eSports presence is remarkable. The other 4 games in the top 5 have an important competition scene.
Gamescom PlayerUnknown’s Battegrounds Invitational 2017 was a good taste of what the game could provide, despite some broadcasting issues and the audience being lower as the competition went on.
