NASDAQ is a term which serves as an acronym for ‘National association of securities dealers’. NASDAQ is an American based stock exchange. In terms of market capitalization, NASDAQ is the 2nd largest exchange all over the globe. The first in terms of market capitalization is the New York Stock Exchange.

The NASDAQ exchange is located in the New York City and was founded on the 4th of february 1971. Hence, 47 years have been passed since it was formed. NASDAQ exchange was founded by the Nasdaq INC. While in the beginning, it offered a simple quotation system and offered no ways for electronic trades.
