Most of the people think that a duck’s quack does not echo. This is perhaps one of the biggest myths that have ever been existed. In reality, a duck’s quack would echo just as much as a lion’s roar under natural conditions. The echo actually depends on the distance between you and the object that reflects the sound. One way to avoid a duck’s echo is to make use of partially reflective materials.

However, under natural conditions, a duck’s quack would also echo. It’s all about the physics of mechanical waves and the way they work, since sound is a mechanical wave.
