When you enter the the command "echo welcome > /dev / tty," the result will be echoes welcome only in the terminal in which it is runned. Another result when you enter this command would be echoes welcomes in all the terminals that are switched on.

Echoes welcome only in the terminal in which it is runned
Echoes welcomes in all the termilnals that are switched on.
