Odyssey is the name of a Greek poem. It is attributed to Homer and is one of the two major poems in ancient Greek that are devoted to him. Illiad is another poem by Homer that is attributed partially with this poem. The poem is a western literature and is often considered as the second oldest extant work. lliad is considered as the oldest extant work of western literature.

It describes the journey of Odysseus who was a warrior. It takes him ten years of travel to come back home and the poem describes these travels. In part two of the Odyssey, Penelope reveals that she is prudent and loyal.
