There are many positives and negatives to the size of Canada. For the positive aspects- one, a large population means a stronger economy. Two, a large population will ensure that future generations have the same economic prospects that currently exist today. Three, it creates a large and growing domestic market.
For the negatives of Canada's size, a larger population can make housing more difficult to find. Another negative is, with a large population it can become more difficult to track and allocate resources to its people. The third negative to a large size is that the government and healthcare system is strained with the aging population.
