The song One Sweet Day was performed by famous singer Mariah Carey and R&B group Boyz II Men. It was released in 1995 as the second single off Carey's fifth studio album, by the name of Daydream. All three performers participated in the writing of the song, along with Walter Afanasieff, who also co-produced it with Mariah Carey.
One Sweet Day became the longest running number one song on US Billboard's Hot 100 Chart, at a record-breaking 16 weeks. Carey and Boyz II Men performed the song together at the 38th Grammy Awards ceremony in 1996, along with other events.
