Rihanna released the album Good Girl Gone Bad in 2007 with Def Jam Recordings and SRP Records. It is her third studio album, and she worked with many producers to create the pop, dance-pop, and R&B album feel with 1980s influences.
Her previous two albums had a more Caribbean feel, reflecting her Barbados heritage, and also transformed her image from innocent to edgy. The album was nominated for seven Grammy awards in 2008, and won one for the sung Umbrella. Good Girl Gone Bad had sold over 9 million copies worldwide by 2017, and has received critical and fan acclaim.
