Are people really as happy as they portray themselves to be on social media?

Most people put happy photographs on their social media. However there are times when people put negative or sad photos of themselves on social media. It seems that the photos on social media are either really happy or really sad. It seems there is no in between. For the most part people like to display when good things are happening to them. So they will put their pictures of their vacations and when their children to something great on their social media page.

This is so their family and friends can see what is going on in their lives. I don’t believe that people are really as happy as they protrude themselves to be on social media but I don’t think they’re doing this on purpose.
