I have a typical Southern American accent. Sometimes my accent is heavier when I’m tired. I don’t know why that is. For the most part people can understand what I’m saying and believe that I speak with a somewhat normal English accent. There are some words that I speak that have a northern diet luck to them. I think that most people’s accents doesn’t necessarily come from birth but instead it comes from where they’re from.
When they are around people who have the same accent during their childhood, they will speak in the same way. There are ways to lessen an accent but it takes practice with either a speech specialist or practice with an individual who you want to copy their accent.
