Global warming is also known as climate change. It is the increase in the temperature of the earth over the past century. Evidence has shown that this is occurring. The scientists have been observing this since the late 1800s until now. It may not seem so dangerous or risky for the temperature to be increasing over time, but it is. It is rising about one degree over the past one hundred years.

Global cooling is the opposite with the temperature on the Earth’s surface and their atmosphere getting cooler. This caused glaciers to form. This began later than the global warming phenomenon. It started to be researched in the 1970s. This data was gathered from the 1940s to the 1970s when the conclusion was drawn from the scientists.
