I think I can prove you wrong because I believe you may be confusing HGH or human growth hormone with steroids, also referred to as anabolic steroids or anabolic androgenic steroids. It is true that a lot, and maybe even the majority, of NFL players use HGH but it is not true they use steroids. The NFL started random testing for HGH in October, During the season 12,000 tests are conducted, including 10 randomly selected players from each team in every week of the season.

Players can also be randomly selected for testing up to six times each off-season. Every NFL player is urine tested at least once per year. Their urine is tested for steroids, related hormones, anti-estrogen agents, stimulants, masking agents, beta-2 adrenergic agonists, diuretics, and oxygen-transfer enhancers like EPO.
