Firstly, I would not want to convince someone for something that they do not want to do. Emotional and mental manipulation would be the last thing that I would ever want to do.

However, if there is a great need anyway and that I do have to convince someone at all costs, I would try my best to let the person know about the benefits that he/she could get. This is because no one invests their time or energy into something that is not beneficial for them. This is a rule of life that everyone should note and keep in mind.
