You must have seen a number of posts on the internet claiming that you can set a fake GPS location on your phone allowing you to swipe in that very location. While this trick certainly used to work before, it seems like new updates have spotted this and have fixed it preventing people from using fake locations.
Hence, to my knowledge, it is not possible to use a fake location using a fake GPS. One reported solution however, is to close all other applications and enable the airplane mode, and disable wifi search in the GPS settings. This sometimes does work.
