The most important thing that you need to make EDM is a DAW (Digital audio workstation). In simple terms, a digital audio workstation provides you all the building blocks that you need to make a range of different types of music including EDM. There are many different DAWs that you can get your hands on, which includes Image Line FL studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro X, Bitwig studio, Steinberg Cubase, cakewalk sonar x3, and a lot more.
For the popular DAWs, you can easily find free tutorials on the internet .In the very beginning, it is not recommended to spend a lot of money on a fully loaded DAW. Rather, go for a lite version to learn and then upgrade as you progress.
