Honeytrapping is a common way that people use whether they are doing this for government reasons or within their own relationships. The way it works is that one person is stuck in a honey trap. This happens because another person tries to become romantically involved with this person in order to either blackmail this person or get information from them. When a person gets involved romantically with them, the other person will trust their partner. .

Then they may start talking about certain situations. It is important for this person to trap its victim by questioning the person after trust is established. I believe that it is an effective strategy in getting certain pieces of information from high ranking government officials for the most part.
