A group of islands was fought over in the spring and summer of 1982. It only took ten weeks for both Argentina and Great Britain to fight over these islands. These islands included the Falkland Island, the Sandwich Islands and a few other little islands. Both sides had the same number of leaders and commanders, but as far as the casualties and losses, it was obvious that one side would win.
Britain only had about 1,000 people killed or injured whereas Argentina had over 2,000 killed or injured during this war. Both had about the same number of helicopters destroyed, but the Argentinian forces had far more other aircraft and sea vehicles destroyed than Great Britain. History sometimes repeats itself, but no one will know if these islands will be fought over again.
