The people in China who are poor experience poverty differently than the people who are poor in America experience poverty because each country has different policies and social service systems. In the United States there are welfare systems, food banks, and nonprofit independent organizations set up to assist those in need.
These services vary in their accessability however, especially between urban and rural areas. China has a different set of welfare systems and nonprofit organizations but the intentions are similar. Another factor that differentiates China's poverty from poverty in the United States is the amount and type of infrastructure set up in each country.
