Zero Dark Thirty was nominated in five categories for Oscars in 2012 and won in one category. Although it was nominated and won at Oscar, I do not believe this was a great movie. I think that the movie got a lot of attention because it was so controversial and graphically depicted torture scenes.
These scenes were talked about over and over again in the media but they were hard to watch. THe acting and story of the movie was mediocre and I do not think it was deserving of the praise and attention it received. The only emotion I felt during the movie was cringing at the shocking torture scenes.
