There is a lot that can be done to stop police brutality in America and most of it starts with the police departments themselves. America’s police departments must radically diversify. This means hiring more minorities and women in an effort to mirror the communities they are policing and requiring police to live in the communities where they work.
Police must be routinely and randomly tested for steroids, other illegal drugs, PTSD, and their propensity for racial bias. Those found to be using illegal drugs must be fired and not allowed to serve in any future law enforcement capacity. Those found to have racial bias and PTSD need to be required to take more training and education.
