What is the purpose of death? I wish I knew and I’m sure everyone else wants to know too. Unfortunately, no one really knows so of course that has led to a lot of speculation. Some people think the purpose of death is to make room for more people (and plants and animals) on the planet. I don’t agree with that theory.
Others think it’s purpose is the finishing point of a life’s work and a freedom from all of life’s burdens, hardships, and illnesses that come with old age. I don’t agree with this theory either mostly because it doesn’t explain why healthy children and others die in accidents. Are accidents God’s way of calling people to heaven early? I don’t agree with this either. So, I guess I really don’t have an answer to this question.
