Yes, women should be allowed to be a part of the workforce. Women are just as capable as men at most jobs. Furthermore, an April 2014 study by the Center for American Progress and the Center for Economic and Policy Research concluded that earnings by women significantly contributed to the strength and income of middle-class families and to the size of the US economy overall.
For example, the study reported that if women had not entered the workforce, the US Gross Domestic Product in 2012 would have been about 11 percent lower. By calculating for inflation from 2012 to 2014, 11 percent works out to more than $1.7 trillion less which is almost equal to the amount spent by the US government on Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid in 2012.
