Women do not need to be able to walk around topless to live a good life. But, women do need the freedom to have the choice to walk around topless. Not only should they have the choice, this choice is explicitly covered by the first amendment to the US Constitution which covers freedom of expression.
Why is a man allowed to go topless and show his nipples when a woman cannot? Unfortunately in many states, a woman can be arrested for going topless because it is seen as obscene. It simply just doesn’t make sense and is another example of women not being treated as equals to men.
