In scientific terms, force means that there is some sort of interaction with another object will cause that object to change in some manner. The change could be the direction or speed among other ways. Even though it may seem that there are different forces, sometimes the weight of objects do not play a part.

Speed may play a part, but not the weight. For example, if a car that is rather small is hit by a large truck that weighs significantly more than the car, the forces are the same. Now, that is not to say that the car and truck will sustain the same amount of damage. They won’t because of the impact and size of the vehicles.
