There is a difference between cyberbullies and school bullies. Before the Internet existed, bullies were subjected to bullying at school or in the neighborhood. They would have to physically abuse or say mean things to their victims in person. They couldn’t do this behind a computer because the technology didn’t exist. The main difference between cyberbullies and school bullies is due to the location and the type of bullying the victim has to encounter.
Cyberbullies must victimize their victims through the Internet and usually do this in their home. They use words and say mean things. School bullies bully their victims at school or in person. Usually, this includes some type of physical abuse by hitting, punching and slapping. The bullying involves physical contact.
