A scandal did involve Eric Trump recently in 2017 when he was accused of taking money that was supposed to be raised for a charity organization and was given to his own business. In 2007, Eric Trump began assisting in raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by his foundation called The Eric Trump Foundation. For almost ten years, The Eric Trump Foundation helped this charity in order for money to be supplied to cancer research.
In 2017, a report was made that money was moved over from The Eric Trump Foundation that was intended for the cancer research charity of St. Jude’s, but it was given to the Trump Organization in order to pay for expensive fundraising events. No proof was ever found that this took place.
