Donald Trump’s platform during his campaign and that he carried it into his presidency includes immigration. Trump opposes illegal immigration in the country even for those who have been in the country for years. His wife, Melania Trump is a legal immigrant who came to the United States to live in 1996 and became a citizen of the United States in 2006. Donald Trump’s grandfather was born in 1869 in Bavaria in Germany. He came to the United States when he was 16 years old.
After living in the United States for several years doing different jobs including searching for gold, he went back to Germany. Frederick Trump got married and then went to the United States since he lost his German citizenship.
