Is a plane with propellers safer than one with the jet engine?

Today, both planes with propellers and those with engines are still being made even though one of them is safer than the other. Propellers are typically used in shorter flights and those that fly at lower altitudes or levels. This will keep the plane steady and allows the lighter plane to take off and easily move about. A plane with a jet engine on it is better and safer than the planes with propellers on them.

Propellers are known for stopping and causing the plane to have to glide to the earth. This can be dangerous since this may be unexpected. If there is a mountainous range under the gliding plane, then having an engine would be useful in this case.
