For homosexuals, there are some states in the United States that accept LGBTQ individuals and there are some states that are against it. One way to determine which states are more accepting of others is to see which states allow for marriage equality. When looking at a map, the states that are most accepting lie on the very eastern coast and part of the Midwest and on the Pacific Coast.
The states like Texas, Arkansas, North Dakota and those that lie in the middle and eastern-middle of the United States seem to be the least accepting. The best would most likely be California. Others would include Hawaii, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Oregon, Vermont and Washington. Most of the states are in the northeastern area of the country.
