Throughout history, there have been many secret societies in America. Mainly, these societies were created because of the issue the people of the club were fighting against. In many cases, the issue was against the law. So, the members had to be careful and they had to meet in a secret hiding place so other people would not be aware of what they were doing.

The Freemasonry in the United States is an exclusive secret society which hold meetings for men. It began hundreds of years ago. Another secret society is the Ku Klux Klan. This racist society is exclusive because it only allows strong white men in it. They also are against anyone who is not Caucasian. They usually execute violence on others.
