In the year 2017, Angela Merkel did not get as many votes as she did in the past elections, and people are saying that it is because of her policy that allowed the immigrants to come to Germany. This may be very helpful for people who are coming from Syria because they know that they would be given a chance to live again, but for those who are already in Germany, they feel that it is unfair because they would get more competition for jobs, resources, and so much more.

This explains why people may not have voted for her again. They felt that she reduced the chances of people in Germany to thrive in Germany because of the immigrants that were allowed to enter.
