When someone dies, they will need a funeral service. Only certain people and places can perform funeral services, but sometimes there may not be a mortician or funeral direction available. For example, if someone is hiking in the snow-covered mountains and someone dies, he will need to be buried since his body can’t be taken back down the mountain.

So, a funeral will need to be performed by someone in the group. Otherwise, funeral services can be provided by a funeral director. Usually, the director has to have an associate degree and license. There is proper training that is needed to be done. There is usually a two-year program. Sometimes, people will do an apprenticeship prior to entering the field.
