The millimeter is unit of length. There are different modifications but the SI or standard unit of length is the meter. Other words, including cent-, milli, or kilo are all modifications of this original measurement. Basically speaking, one meter contains 100 cm and 1 cm.
We can calculate how many millimeters are in one meter by simply multiplying the number of centimeters in a meter with the no of millimeters in a centimeter. This comes to a value of 1000. Hence, one meter contains 1000 millimeters. Moving on, the kilometer contains 1000 meters and is often the unit used for measuring distances.
