Dumbledore first attended Hogwarts in 1892. He began to attend Hogwarts in autumn 1892 and he was sorted into the Gryffindor house. He made notable friends such as Nicolas Flamel, Griselda Marchbanks and Bathilda Bagshot. During his time as a student, he won the Barnabus Finkley Prize for Exception Spell Casting.
In his fourth year, he set the bed curtains in his dormitory on fire. He was made a prefect in his fifth year and later the Head Boy in his Seventh year. He is considered to be the most brilliant student to attend the school.
Dumbledore taught Transfiguration at Hogwarts and later became the headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
